One nice thing

Standard

I had a very stressful hectic day at work. I was busy the entire day with half a dozen projects, and a few minutes before I was supposed to test the PowerPoint I had created, I found a glitch. That meant I spent the next few minutes desperately trying to correct the problem before quitting, almost in tears. I was late for my bus, and I rushed out the door, prepared to run to my DART stop, crying all the way.

And then I heard Susan.

“Hey, you want a ride?” I felt my shoulders lighten about fifty pounds.

It had been a rough day, but it was okay. Somebody gave me a ride to the station instead of watching me walk. The meaning of these words were so clear.

“..and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,’ and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?  Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.” James 2:16-17

Thanks, Susan, for being His hands and feet today. I needed it.
